Kansas City's holiday schedule comprises Easter Sunday (April 1 vs. the White Sox in the season's opening series), Memorial Day (May 28 vs. Minnesota), Father's Day (June 17 vs. Houston) and Independence Day (July 4 vs. Cleveland).

Kansas City designated hitter Brandon Moss was one of four hits for the Royals Tuesday afternoon.

Covey is making his ninth start of the season but first since losing to Arizona on May 23. Giolito has started four games this season, allowing 10 runs over 25.1 innings. Two batters later, Covey just missed with two more fastballs and a slider in a four-pitch walk of Eric Hosmer. In 2012, the Angels drafted Morin, who appeared in 10 games this year, posting a 6.91 ERA. He came back though and struck out Yoan Moncada, got Jose Abreu to pop out to shallow right field and completed the win with a Matt Davidson groundout.

The White Sox took the first game in this series on Monday night, 11-3. The right-hander recovered almost instantly and offered the potential the White Sox saw when they selected him in the Rule 5 draft last December.

Carson Fulmer doesn't know if his future with the Chicago White Sox is as a starting pitcher or a reliever. After their series against the Kansas City Royals, the Sox will head to Toronto to start a three game series with the Blue Jays on April 2. The Royals finished with just four hits in the game, while the White Sox had 13.

Jarrett Parker hit his third home run of the season in the second inning for the Giants.

Kansas City managed a win on Tuesday, but it wasn't quite in impressive fashion.

White Sox rookie Dylan Covey (0-5) walked the bases loaded before the Moss grand slam in the first inning. The Kansas City pitching isn't likely to be great today as Skoglund has really struggled. Kansas City goes too quiet at the plate for too long of periods.

The only knock against Abreu's game is his defense, which has probably improved somewhat with hard work.
