Xiaomi has introduced a new smartphone in China called the Mi Mix 2, the successor to last year's bezel-less Mi Mix. The Qualcomm recently pushed aside the rumours of Snapdragon 836 chipset making its way in the device at the social media platform Weibo. The smartphone Note 3 is powered by the 14nm octa-core Snadpragon 660 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and a 3,500mAh battery. It is also seen with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

Here is a full list of specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The third product announced at the event was none other than the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (after Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Mix 2).

The Mi Mix 2 has a 5.99-inch, 18:9 screen, with a hidden speaker (interestingly, the company gave up on the piezoelectric speaker solution from the original Mi Mix) on top.

In the camera department, the MI MIX 2 sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with IMX386 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and 5P lens. The Mi Mix 2 comes with a four-sided curved ceramic body along with a 7-series aluminium alloy frame.

The dual sim phone features a full HD display (1080x2160) with a pixel density of 403 ppi and a DCI-P2 colour gamut.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will start its run in China this Friday. The rear cameras sit flush with the body without any protrusion.

However, in a parallel news, it has now been confirmed that the second iteration of the bezel-less beauty will be coming to India very soon. The Mi Mix 2 comes in two variants; 6GB and 8GB RAM. It packs a 3500mAh battery. Apart from these three models, there is a special edition variant as mentioned above with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

It appears to be both a good day and a bad day for Xiaomi fans. It promises 30% higher graphics performance with the Adreno 512 GPU and twice the LTE and Wi-Fi downlink speeds compared to previous generations. The device doesn't support a 3.5mm headphone jack.

There's 2x optical zoom available, optical image stabilization, phase-detection autofocus, and 4K video recording available as well.

The smartphone goes on sale tomorrow in China.
